Welcome to the J341 home page for Newspaper Reporting at Indiana University's School of Journalism. This class emphasizes reporting skills -- that is, research, newsgathering and reporting, and writing for newspapers.
During the semester, we'll look at the state of the newspaper industry, examining how the nation's publications are battling declining circulation and increases in competition. More and more, newspapers are relying on online components to attract and keep readers, and we will explore these convergence, or multimedia, techniques in J341 this fall.
