Welcome to J341, Newspaper Reporting. This class extends the work you've done in core courses such as J200 and J201 by giving you more experience in reporting (research, newsgathering and writing). But, you'll produce work specifically for a newspaper audience and we'll explore many of the issues facing the newspaper industry today as we go along.

Do not despair if you've taken this class as an elective with no real thought to working in newspapers. You'll gain journalistic experience you can take to any job, as well as insight into convergence, a trend shaping journalism's future.
