States: do not use postal codes. CA should be Calif., IN should be Ind.
- Smith is moving to Champaign, Ill., in March.
If you are giving the readers a postal address, however, you should use the post office method, but don't start new lines and indent:
- The Herald-Times, 1900 S. Walnut St., Bloomington, IN 47401.
Street addresses: 402 S. Elm St. or 9012 S. Ind. 446 (note that compass points [E, S, W] are abbreviated).
"at the intersection of Elm and Highland streets"
or "at the intersection of Elm Avenue and Highland Street"
Numbers are numerals in addresses unless the street is First through Ninth:
- 2 W. Ninth St.
